MSIF staff attended the UK MS Society’s ’MS Frontiers’ research event this week to find out more about developments in MS research, meet MS researchers and people with MS and promote our work including World MS Day. Dhia Chandaratna, Head of International Scientific and Medical research at MSIF said, It’s been a fantastic event with some really interesting presentations. We will be thinking carefully about how the presentations here fit into our own work in progressive and paediatric MS. Tweet This Post Share on Facebook
My name is Anna Kodzhayeva. I come from the city of Krasnodar, Russia. I am 26, and I’ve had MS for 18 years. I was diagnosed when I was 8, so I’ve had it for almost all my life. This is why I have experienced almost all the symptoms of the disease.
I made it clear for myself that it is important you should never stop, whatever happens. That is, my motto is ‘He who goes will manage the road.’ It means whatever the circumstances, you must get up and move on.
Another my motto is that ‘One should have a dream and go for it. If you cannot go, crawl to it. If you cannot crawl, face the direction of your dream, though lying on the ground.’ These mottos help me go on, overcome barriers and what is on my way.
