MS Ireland‘s World MS Day activities kick off with an exciting event for young people with MS. The event will provide an opportunity for young people to meet, learn about their employment rights and educational options, develop strategies for living with MS and share the mottos that give them strength. And it is completely free to attend!

Six young people will share their mottos for identity, relationships and the future from 8 May. Get to know them below… Anna, 26, Russia. Anna was diagnosed when she was just 8 years old so has already been living with MS for more than 18 years! She works at a nursery and loves working with children. Brenda, 21, Argentina Brenda is 21 and was diagnosed with MS two years ago. She is currently studying Education studies at university and is a keen dancer too. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family and boyfriend, and of course her lovely doggie. Breea, 19, USA Breea was diagnosed one year ago and is still getting to grips with her MS. Night marathon in Luxembourg

Luxembourg MS League will celebrate World MS Day with a series of activities during May and June. The League will be participating in the ING Night Marathon in Luxembourg as well as organising an awareness-raising day, a motorcycle ride and a barbecue for their members. Freddie and George from Shift.MS get ready for World MS Day

George Pepper and Freddie Yauner spoke of their enthusiasm for the 2013 World MS Day Campaign at the MSIF Board meetings today to an audience of CEOs from around the world. The young founders and creators of online support platform Shift.MS gave a presentation about their work with young ‘MSers’ and the potential for future collaboration with MS organisations around the world. The development of digital and social media means that they are reaching beyond national and cultural boarders. People with MS in 180 countries are already taking advantage of the fantastic peer-support network (soon to be available in a number of languages) that the dynamic duo have pioneered.
