This year we need your help to reach out to new audiences. We want to raise awareness of MS amongst people who don’t know about the disease, and share with them the many ways in which it effects the lives of millions all over the world. Welcome to World MS Day 2012

World MS Day 2012 is on its way! Sorry we’ve been so quiet. Here’s what we’ve been up to the past two months… Plans for the 2012 campaign began in September 2011 when World MS Day (WMSD) was re-launched as a public facing awareness campaign with a new strap-line, ‘1000 faces of MS’, and a new theme ‘Living with MS’. The World MS Day working group, which is made up of representatives from MS organisations in Argentina, Australia, Estonia, Germany, India, Spain, and the USA, have been working together with a top creative agency to design a fun and engaging campaign that will appeal to new audiences. MSIF petition delivered to High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva

Our petition, signed by 23,987 people from 143 countries, calling on employers and decision makers to protect the rights of people with MS in finding and staying in work, has been delivered to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.   Many thanks to the more than 23,900 people who signed our petition, which called on employers and decision makers to improve the lives of people with MS on the International Day for Persons with Disabilities.   The petition, which was launched by MSIF and its member organisations worldwide as part of the World MS Day campaign, was delivered to Ms. Navi Pillay, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, on 2 December 2011, the eve of the fifth anniversary of the International…

We are delighted to say that we have reached our target of more than 20,000 signatures on the World MS Day Campaign for access to appropriate employment petition! 23,987 people signed the petition which will be delivered to the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva today. Wonderwoman wins the UNISEP film competition

UNISEP annouced the winning entry to their film making competition to mark World MS Day this week   The winning entry, SEPas vraiment Wonder Woman ! was submitted by Elise Passavant and shows superwoman struggling with some of the symptoms of MS. UNISEP launched the competition to find the best MS related film earlier this year. Particpants were asked to submit entries based on TV or film. Look out for the winning entry which will be shown on television and in cinemas around France from the 28th May.
