Support from the Super League in Switzerland

On the 25th May in Switzerland, AC Bellizona will play its last game of the super league against Grasshopper Club Zurich. To coincide with World MS Day celebrations, the players of both teams will begin the game wearing t-shirts with the slogan “giving up is not an option for people with MS: help them to keep going”. While the players warm up in these t-shirts, there will be information given over the speaker system about MS and World MS Day. This symbol of solidarity has been arranged in partnership with The Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Society, who will also be present at the Media conference after the match. A silent auction – World MS Day in Cyprus

In Cyprus the Cyprus Multiple Sclerosis Society are holding a press conference on the 25th May at the Ministry of Health for World MS Day. The theme of the conference will be “Work and Difficulties” and discussions will be held with the Minister of Health, the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance and the Minister of Transport. Amongst several other events they are holding throughout May will also be a Silent Auction on the 6th June in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, where they are expecting attendance by the First Lady of Cyprus and other members of parliament. Working with the Ministry of health to improve access to work for people with MS in Cyprus

The Cyprus Multiple Sclerosis Association is planning a press conference at the Ministry of Health with a focus on ‘The difficulties of Work’. Other activities include a silent auction and public events across the country. The press conference, which will take place on 25 May, will be followed by a round-table discussion with the Minister of Health, the Minister of Social Insurance, and the Minister of Transport. It is hoped that the Ministers will make commitments to improve access to appropriate work for people with MS in Cyprus. On 6 June a charity auction will take place at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia to raise money to support the services offered by the association.
