The MS Society of India will be celebrating World MS Day with different activities across the country throughout the month of May. Each chapter is organising an awareness-raising event: think MS Walks, exhibitions, gigs, seminars, and so much more! Details to follow. MSSI will also be making full use of Twitter and Pinterest for the World MS Day campaign to reach as many people as possible. Looks like this May will be a busy one in India! The Mumbai chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) went all out in their awareness raising campaign for World MS Day this year. They set up banners, posters and information stands all over the city on the 25th May giving information about MS and particularly this year’s theme of Work and Employment. As well as having banners up at various hospitals, they also had brochures in offices, Churchgate Railway station, the prestigious sporting event the Bombay Gymkhana, and even at Byculla Zoo. At Dadar Bandstand they gave out pamphlets as “Something Relevant”, a local rock band, played music. On the 25th May at the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket New Delhi, the MS Society of India (MSSI) are getting together to join hands in a human chain. They are hoping to get as many people involved as possible, to raise awareness of MS. There will be music, games and some surprise celebrity attendees. Make sure you get are there from 5.30pm onwards to join hands with them and support their work! MSSI are encouraging their local branches to get involved with celebrations around the country, including forming their own human chains, and sharing their photos and stories from the day with them. The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) is getting ready for country-wide events this World MS Day MSSI have organised events in various cities around the country on the 25th May, including public gatherings and Medical Seminars, designed to raise awareness of MS. They are expecting participation from thousands of people, including members, volunteers and donors, as well as some well known faces from the world of cricket and fashion. Meetings will be taking place in many different locations including Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi.
