The green apple has become the symbol of the MS Society in Chile. On 22nd May volunteers will take to the streets to raise awareness of MS and hand green apples out to passers by to mark World MS Day 2011. Green ribbons and leaflets about MS will also be handed out throughout the day. Chileans shout about World MS Day Chilean volunteers took to the streets of Santiago to raise awareness about MS. The press took a keen interest in the noise made by the volunteers who handed out green apples and information to passers by. The apple is the well known symbol of the MS society of Chile.
