Noah “40” Shebib: Music producer living with MS

Noah Shebib, known as “40”, is a Canadian hip-hop producer who lives with multiple sclerosis (MS). He was diagnosed with MS on his 22nd birthday after experiencing strange feelings in his legs: “hot was cold and cold was hot”, he said. Without having pervious knowledge of MS or its symptoms, Shebib thought that MS “sounded intimidating”. He appeared in the ‘Goosebumps’ series and the Canadian Gemini award winning ‘Wind at My Back’. Niagara falls glows orange for World MS Day

One of the worlds most famous natural landmarks glowed orange yesterday to mark World MS Day 2011 Last night at 10pm and then again at 11pm orange lights shone across Niagara falls to raise awareness of MS. Orange lights were also shone on the peace bridge which links Canada with the United States of America.  Local news stations reported the colour change to raise awareness about MS amongst the general public (see video below).  Peace Bridge in orange for World MS Day: wivb.com Tweet This Post Share on Facebook

Raising awareness and funds in Canada

The MS Society of Canada is organising activities across the country to raise awareness of MS in May 2011 The Carnation campaign will encourage people with and affected by MS to raise money and awareness in their local communities through public events, in their workplaces, and online. A workbook giving tips and tricks on how to raise awareness will be made available to all campaigners through the society.
