Outrageously Red – A WMSD Dinner in Australia

Rotarian Action Group for MS Awareness in Australia are holding a World MS Day Dinner on the 25th May. There will be guest speakers from the Australian MS Society and an MS Researcher, and all diners are encouraged to wear something “outrageously red”. World MS Events around the Country in Finland

In Finland, local MS Societies and clubs are holding awareness raising events in shopping centres, marketplaces and pedestrian precincts around the country. The Finnish MS Society has prepared campaign material and press kits for local societies, which they will be distributing on the 25th May. The materials contain lots of information including key facts about MS and the impact it has on an individual’s ability to work, and the importance of supporting people with MS in continuing in employment. In total events have been organised in 24 cities around the country. The Finnish National Broadcasting Company will be playing the World MS Day Campaign film, and local societies will be contacting their local press to share information, and stories of people with MS continuing…

A silent auction – World MS Day in Cyprus

In Cyprus the Cyprus Multiple Sclerosis Society are holding a press conference on the 25th May at the Ministry of Health for World MS Day. The theme of the conference will be “Work and Difficulties” and discussions will be held with the Minister of Health, the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance and the Minister of Transport. Amongst several other events they are holding throughout May will also be a Silent Auction on the 6th June in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, where they are expecting attendance by the First Lady of Cyprus and other members of parliament. Their main sponsorship comes from Remedica Pharmaceutical Company Money, and all money raised from this event, and all their other events will go towards improving the…

A human chain in India

On the 25th May at the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket New Delhi, the MS Society of India (MSSI) are getting together to join hands in a human chain. They are hoping to get as many people involved as possible, to raise awareness of MS. There will be music, games and some surprise celebrity attendees. Make sure you get are there from 5.30pm onwards to join hands with them and support their work!
