Take the MSIF Survey

ayesha

Posted on August 22nd, 2012

MS is typically diagnosed when people are in their late teens, 20s or 30s – a time when many will be forging careers, enjoying an active social life, meeting life partners and maybe thinking about having children. We want to know how young people feel about having MS, if it impacts their day-to-day life and what their needs are. You can help by taking the MSIF survey. It’s completely anonymous and should only take around 5 minutes.   Take the survey Tweet This Post Share on Facebook

Cathy Johns, who is an author and has MS, keeps a blog about the condition and also wrote an article for the Independent about her decision to “come out”.…

World MS Day was definitely a global affair in 2012, with 66 countries participating in events as well as hundreds of people who took part in our “1000 faces of MS” campaign. People with MS from around the world led the way in raising awareness and reached millions of people through their campaigning activities.   Asia The Indian MS Societies were creative with their campaigning activities this year. Elsewhere in the country over 150 people met from the Bengaluru chapter at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore to celebrate the day, and formed a human chain…

Kissing Goodbye to MS – WMSD Australia

Kirsty

Posted on August 9th, 2012

In Australia World MS Day was a resounding success, with hundreds of people taking part in activities across the whole country. MS Australia and MS Research Australia all held events during the month of May and on the day itself. The “Kiss Goodbye to MS” campaign, which is in its third year, encouraged supporters to wear bright red lipstick, wear red clothes, dye their hair red or wear badges and stickers. Events were varied, from meeting the Australian Women’s Basketball team at Parliament house on their way to the Olympics, cupcake stalls, selling merchandise and charity dinners such as that held by the Green Bean society, who got into the theme in a big way with a Kissing booth and helped to raise over…
