World MS Day (WMSD) in China was very informative this year. People living with multiple sclerosis (MS) were invited to several hospital lectures held in Beijing and Harbin. The theme ‘Living with MS’ was incorporated in each lecture.
The lectures enabled people living with MS to learn about the latest MS and NMO research. The need for a holistic approach to treating MS was discussed with audiences. Lectures gave out advice on how to live healthily with MS in both mind and body.
The events in China enabled people living with MS to meet and socialise with others with similar experiences. The lectures provided a platform for people to bond, encourage one another and find out more about the disease. WMSD China was a success because it empowered people living with MS and their families to come to terms with their disease and one day to help raise awareness and reach more people in China.
