Neurological consultant Dr. Qasim Asbahi gave a lecture about the human brain, and provided MS the members with advice on how to live with multiple sclerosis. A representative of the Yemeni Organisation for Human Rights, Abdul Jalil Fatmid, praised the president of the assembly for his hard work in coordinating the event. A young man talked about living with MS and the nature of the disease.
Journalists were present at this meeting along with activists, friends and family members of people living with MS. Informative MS brochures and leaflets were made available to all who attended the event. Attendees enjoyed reading the awareness material and some members wore MS badges.
The second part of World MS Day Yemen included a football match which took place in front of a large number of spectators including journalists.
