World MS Day is looking for a new intern.
If you are organised, motivated and enthusiastic with a keen interest in international advocacy and campaigning, this could be the opportunity for you!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised individual wishing to gain experience in international Campaigning.
World MS Day is an international campaign that takes place annually in May in more than 70 countries around the world. MSIF aims to provide MS organisations with a platform to raise awareness and advocate for positive change to improve the lives of people with MS.
The Campaigns Intern will work closely with the Campaigns Manager to deliver, monitor and evaluate the 2012 campaign. You will experience the busiest time in our campaigning calendar and will have the opportunity to lead on several key activities during this period.
Although we cannot pay our interns, we do pay expenses for travel and subsistence and we have a track record of successful transitions into paid roles at other organisations. Our last intern went on to secure a Campaigns co-ordinator post at a well known charity.

About Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic and often disabling disease. MS is one of the most common neurological diseases amongst people in their 20’s and 30’s. It affects people often at the beginning of their working lives and when they are starting a family and affects at least twice as many women as men. Up to 60% of people diagnosed with MS will suffer long-term disability. So far, there is no proven cause and no cure.
Applicants must be available to start work in the first week of April. Interviews will take place on 3rd April 2012.

Having suffered from MS for 21 years and use a wheelchair for mobility.
I would love a job like this.Sounds the type of work I could do. Since I had to give up my 100mph busy physical work 18years ago, and now spend my days raising awareness through facebook, twitter and campaining for disabled equality. I could see this type of work the next step forward
what type of jobs are there here in Fenton, Michigan I wish to work in the Hospital I really have a passion for that. I got fired from a Hospital for having ms but i’v always wanted to go back to work in a hospital .. That is my calling in life for working in the hospital doing Administrative work it’s a big word for being a Clerk. I use to work in the Emergency room. If their was one thing in life i could do is go back to work in the hospital i was employed for 17 years yea that was along time of fighting for my rights to work with my disease. I really want to go back to work even if it is part time i just made my resume up 2 days ago and i am hoping and praying that i do get that job soon…Mrs.katherine Maupin
