World MS Day for The Greece MS Society

The Greek Multiple Sclerosis Society’s World MS Day Celebrations are well underway. On the 25th May, they had an open discussion event for patients at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The discussion was centred around work and problems which face people with MS in their everyday life. There was also a presentation of recent treatments available. From the 8th to the 24th June they are holding an art exhibition in Thessaloniki. The artwork has all been created by people with MS. CureMS – A new iphone app

BDDevco, an app development company, have created an app called CureMS. The app contains information about MS and it’s treatments, as well as useful links to related websites and companies. “I have faith in myself”

A Greek MS Forum have uploaded an inspirational song to their site, to encourage those with MS. The song “I have Faith in Myself” is by Greek musician EmptySky, and is about his journey from being diagnosed with MS to learning to overcome the difficulties he encounters in his life.  Stathis, from the forum, tells us the message of the song is “Life is so small and beautiful, whatever happens to you, never give up!” To listen to the song, and visit the forum, go to their website http://www.mssociety.gr/ Tweet This Post Share on Facebook

A Decadent dinner raises significant funds in South Africa

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Africa (MSSA) Western Cape held an opulent lunch on the 1st June this year. 96 guests attended the 5th annual “Big 5 Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser Luncheon” at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek. The event was presided over by Master of Ceremonies Ryan O’Conner, a Patron of MS Western cape and guests were treated to a 5 course feast, prepared by Grande Provence’s Executive Chef Darren Roberts and Michelin star chef Michel Louws. Entertainment was also provided in the form of artists such as Marimba Vibrations, Tony Nelson,Emil Struwig, Darryl Walters and Kari who greatly added to the overall success of the day.
