Chileans shout about World MS Day Chilean volunteers took to the streets of Santiago to raise awareness about MS. The press took a keen interest in the noise made by the volunteers who handed out green apples and information to passers by. The apple is the well known symbol of the MS society of Chile. The Korean MS Society rallied support to end MS in public awareness raising marches and stands in Seoul The Korean MS Society organised a day full of activities to mark World MS Day 2010. Public awareness raising was a priority with booths disseminating information and advice from medical staff set up around Seoul. Several press events took place to give people with MS the opportunity to reach out to others using their own experience of living with MS. A practical day of seminars for people with MS took place in a central city park. The MS Society of Colombia organised a practical day for people with MS to come together and learn how to manage their disease using complimentary therapies such as yoga and music. Lunch was served to more than 100 people with MS. It was useful for them to meet other people living with the disease and many guests reported a feeing of solidarity and inclusion that they rarely feel in their everyday lives.
