In Saudi Arabia World MS Day was celebrated in three cities with public awareness raising, medical and scientific seminars, and the opportunity for people living with MS to ask questions of specialists in the field of Neurology and MS.
On the 24th May Dr. Ali Almubarak and other doctors held an awareness seminar at Qatif General Hospital in Qatif.
On the 26th May a panel of several specialists hosted a seminar at Me’aibed Hall, Dammam, Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It included medical, social, and spiritual topics around MS. The attendees enjoyed dinner together at the end of the seminar.
On the 29th May a conference was held at the main auditorium of Prince Salman Social Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The doctors spoke on MS treatment and research followed by an open Q&A with the attendees. Throughout the day volunteers disseminated information and literature at a shopping mall in the city with the aim of raising awareness about MS amongst the general public.
The activities were a great success with many attendees across the country.
